Don’t Ignore Heel Pain! Plantar Fasciitis Treatment Options in Ahmedabad

PLANTAR FASCIITIS

Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of heel pain. The plantar fascia is a thick, web like ligament that connects your heel to the front of your foot. It supports the arch of your foot and helps you walk.

Causes:

A number of things can contribute to plantar fasciitis. While men can get plantar fasciitis, it’s more common in women. You’re also more likely to suffer from this condition as you age or if you’re overweight or on your feet for several hours a day.
Your risk also increases if you:
• Wear worn-out shoes with thin soles
• Have flat feet or a very high arch
• Often wear high-heeled shoes
• Have tight Achilles tendons, or “heel cords”
• Have an unusual walk or foot position
Symptoms:

Plantar fasciitis typically causes a stabbing pain in the bottom of your foot near the heel. The pain is usually the worst with the first few steps after awakening, although it can also be triggered by long periods of standing or rising from sitting. The pain is usually worse after exercise, not during it.
